I have owned cameras all my life, well, nearly!  From a Praktica as a learner in the 1980s to the current suite of Nikon Mirrorless, I have always loved being behind a camera, with the ability to capture that decisive moment, to record occasions and make unique memories.

I am Sarah, and this is Hera Photography.  Photography is my business and my passion, and hopefully, that comes across both here on the website and during my photo shoots.  Portrait shoots are my speciality, of people or, particularly, pets, especially dogs (although a cat has snuck in to the pawtrait gallery!)

I have worked with some glorious clients in some magnificent places and every shoot has taught me something new. That drive to keep on learning led me to complete a Masters Degree in Photography, and to becoming an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society.  

Over the last couple of years I have featured as one of the top 100 emerging global portrait photographers, I have won awards for my pet and people portraits, and have been nominated for a British Photography award.  My images have been part of an installation in London Docklands and I have had a portrait exhibition in Hertfordshire.

The Hera Photography website highlights my commercial work as well featuring some of my personal projects: Ukrainian Refugees in Krakow, Military Veterans, urban macro, smoke bomb photography.  Next projects are 360 degree and drone photography.
